The Cornhuskers

The Nebraska Cornhuskers are my favorite college football team considering that i am from Nebraska. I like all there players such as Tommy Frazier from 1994 and 1995 championships, Johnny Rogers and Mike Rozier from the 80s, and my number one favorite Heisman winner Eric Crouch of 2003. I also have favorite players from this year such as Nate Swift, number 87, Joe Ganz, number 12, Todd Petersen, number 17, Marlon Lucky, number 5, and Roy Helo Jr., number 10. These were just my favorite offensive players.
My favorite players of the “Blackshirts” are not that many since I am not a defensive player but i still have a few. My favorites are Christian Peter from the 80s and that is the only defensive player i know back before this year. Otherwise these are my favorite fromthis year: Larry Asante, number 4, Cody Glenn, number 34, Zach Potter, number 98, and Nodamnicang Suh, number 93.
The best thing about the Huskers is that they have the most confidence then any other team in college football. Their stadium, Memorial Stadium, is the most feared stadium in college football. With the high spirited fans they drown out every noise in the area. The “Sea of Red” is one of the coolest things to see in my opinion.
The thing that makes me mad though is that Colorado has to be poor sports and throw trash on the field trying to get our team down by symbolizing that they are bad. But they were wrong because it did not work we still beat them and we made them go home ashamed. Colorado also said that their 5 losses is better than a Husker win and I was furious after that comment.
The players crack with their bashing hits, the cheerleaders chant to keep the crowd spirited, the mascots dance to pump up the crowd, and the fans cheer til their throats bleed. No matter win or lose I will always be a Husker.
October 15,2008 My Day At HAL
Posted in Uncategorized on October 15, 2008 by hal7graysonfI had a good day at my HAL class this morning, October 15, 2008. In my first class, which was my favorite part of today, we started a blog which is this blog for me. He taught us everything we need to know about how to add to this blog, pictures, links, and videos. Mr. Hokanson, our teacher for the first part of HAL also talked to us about the nine themes of digital citenzenships. We also added a game called freerice which is a fun and challenging game to play.
After our computer time we went to the conference room, room number 109 in Mckinley school, to tell what type of a learner we are with a survey. Then Mrs. DiGiovanni came in and we worked with puzzles like ven something I can’t remember but it was challenging and she finally stumped us. And that was my day.
